That's the key to
our probationary hire (temp-to-hire) program.
Because we interview candidates for their skills, work
experience, and career goals rather than for specific openings,
our staffing professionals learn things about job seekers that a
typical employer can't and won't learn during the interview. In
a routine interview with an employer for a specific opening, the
employer's questions are geared toward the open position, and
answers are tailored to suit the job description and what the
candidate has learned about the company. It's a fact of life -
job interviews play a very small role in determining whether a
candidate will be a successful hire.
Sure, an interview is a great way to determine whether a
candidate may have the necessary skills or work
background. However, without skills testing and reference
checks, it's hard to know for certain.
More importantly, just because a candidate is
qualified for an opening doesn't
mean he or she will become a successful long-term hire.
Successful hires result from successful matches of the
employer's expectations and the candidate's goals. Our staffing
professionals are trained in a variety of interview techniques,
and let's face it - most employers don't interview candidates
all day every day, so our experience provides us with a distinct
advantage. More importantly, because we can consider each job
seeker for a range of positions with a number of potential
employers, we can openly discuss and assess work style,
corporate culture, likes and dislikes, and many of the other
intangible aspects of a successful hire with each candidate.
When you contact us to assist in filling your open position,
you can count on us giving you an honest assessment of the
position and our ability to deliver qualified candidates within
an expected time frame. Setting clear expectations, we then
review our extensive database of active candidates, in addition
to reaching out to our network of referrals and recruiting
resources, so that we can cast as wide a net for potential
candidates as possible.
You will receive just a few - usually two or three -
qualified and pre-screened candidates to interview. Once you
select a candidate, Focus1 will place the chosen candidate to
work in your position. We will be responsible for all wages,
payroll taxes, workers' compensation insurance, and any
resulting unemployment claims during the probationary hire
period. If for any reason the candidate doesn't suit your
expectations or he/she finds that the position is not the right
match, simply let us know and we will promptly provide a
replacement.
